Amir's background and path to founding his own practice
Amir received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine, in Criminology, Law and Society, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa Society. He then pursued his law degree at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and later earned his LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Taxation Law from Golden Gate University, with Honors. Before establishing his own practice as a California estate attorney, Amir led the Estate Planning Department at a large toxic tort law firm for over 10 years.
Marin bar leadership, CEB consulting, GGU teaching, and civic board service
- Amir served as Co-Chair of the Marin County Bar Association's Probate and Estate Planning Section for multiple years. He has acted as a consultant for the CEB's reference guide: California Power of Attorney and Health Care Directives, which is vital for asset protection. Since 2014, he has taught as an Adjunct Professor in the LL.M. in Taxation and LL.M. in Estate Planning Programs at Golden Gate University. He is also a member of the Planned Giving Advocacy Committee at his alma mater, St. Ignatius College Preparatory, and served on the Advancement Committee at San Domenico School.
